Sushi Police, a 3DCG animated series inspired by the Japanese Government's attempt to regulate global Japanese restaurants, known as the "Sushi Police" incident.*

*The Sushi Police incident occurred in 2006 when the Japanese Government announced that all Japanese restaurants overseas would have to be authenticated. Triggered a media backlash with their article about "The Sushi Police" in reference to secret visits made by Japanese inspectors to restaurants around the world.

Story

With the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games around the corner, there's also a worldwide sushi boom！ But what to do with all the bastardized sushi out there?The Japanese Government's urgent response is to team up with other ruling powers around the world to establish the WFCO (World Food-culture Conservation Organization) to protect and promote authentic local cuisine.And so the World Food-Culture Conservation Organization (WFCO), deploys its 9th Division to oversee Japanese cuisine abroad. The 9th Division, a.k.a. Sushi Police, is notorious for their aggressive conduct and they hassle anyone serving unauthentic Japanese food in the U.S., Russia, France, China, etc. They will resort to any means necessary to eliminate bad sushi. Soon they are despised by restaurant proprietors around the world.

　Some want to defend authentic food culture.Others want to restore their right to eat what they like.They are opposite sides of the same sushi.

In each country we meet unique Japanese restaurant proprietors anxious to avoid legal complications with the Sushi Police.

Characters

Honda: Sushi Police Captain
Age, 42 years old / Height, 165 cm / Weight, 85 kilograms / Birthplace, Asakusa, Tokyo
He has a superhuman ability to hear the voices of sushi. His utmost priority is to correct unauthentic sushi. Regional diversity means little to him. A sushi fundamentalist whose credo is "Condemn the offender, not the offense.” He was once an aspiring sumo wrestler and is still the most athletic of the Sushi Police officers.

Suzuki: An intelligence analysis
Age, 30 / Height, 178 cm / Weight, 58 kilograms / Birthplace, Akihabara, Tokyo
Highly intelligent Suzuki is in charge of data analysis and weapons development, and is a wimp.He may also be jinxed because he often finds himself in trouble.

Kawasaki: An android officer
Deceptively cheerful and carefree Kawasaki is armed with powerful weapons such as a Bazooka and rotary cannon. Kawasaki's weapon recoils when it discharges causing him to fall with the clink of an empty soda can as he weighs only about 1/10 of the ASIMO robot.

Designed to fire successively, it's capable of covering everything in sight with wasabi in a few seconds.

Wasabi Launcher

A wasabi weapon with superior fire power. It's Kawasaki's weapon of choice.

Chopstick Nunchaku

A pair of over-sized chopsticks connected with a chain. Suzuki is the expert of this.

Sushi Vacuum Sucker

Used to confiscate illegal sushi, it's so powerful it sucks out the chef's love for sushi.

Sushi-Cry Amplifier

It enhances Honda's special ability to hear the "sushi cry."

Orbital Soy Sauce Sanitizer (OSSS)

The Sushi Police's ace in the hole. It disintegrate illegal sushi establishments in a jiffy.

Rocket Trawler "Suship"

This is the standard airborne transport vessel for the Sushi Police.

Sushi Hawk

It's armed with a sushi chain gun and wasabi napalm.

Sushi Rover

This is a green-tea-fueled all-terrain vehicle.
